My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I am Phoebe (HWTH#21101A). I am a Basenji mix, born 6/19/19 and I weigh 24 lbs. My friends Prince (HWTH#21100A), Patrick (HWTH#21096A), Plato (HWTH#21098A), and I showed up in a lady's yard in Mojave near the rescue. She brought us to Halfway to Home and now my stray hold is over and I am ready for a forever family. I am a shy girl who warms up quickly especially when someone pets me or gives me toys. I am learning to sit (with treats), but I could definitely use more obedience training including house- and leash-training so that I understand how to be a good girl. I seem to be ok with other dogs, but I don't know how I would do with children. When you come to meet me it will be important to bring the kids and dogs with you so we can get to know each other and see if we are compatible. Apartments and condos are ok as long as I get several walks a day. With some patience and understanding, I think I will be a loyal and loving friend.
