My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*****Belgian Malinois Adoption requirements*****

The dog you have selected is a Belgian Malinois. This is a breed that has very specific needs for an adoptive home. Because of their need for a high level of exercise, both mentally and physically and their need for ongoing training, only applicants with demonstrated owner/handler experience with this breed will be considered. The vast majority of them are not best suited as family pets, but in homes with experienced handlers knowledgeable of their needs and breed characteristics. We will not place in homes with small children or small dogs/cats.

Milo is a 4 year old (Born December 28, 2016) Belgian Malinois. Milo is highly energetic and incredibly smart who likes nothing more than taking walks/jogs around the neighborhood, several of them! He would suit someone just as highly active and who is looking for a friendly companion. Unfortunately, his current family's circumstances don't allow for Milo to get the exercise he needs. Milo is very strong on the leash and can pull hard when excited. Milo comes with a bit of size (85 pounds!) so in conjunction with his high energy nature he would need to join a family with adults or older teenagers. Milo is very loyal and does his best to protect his home. Milo didn't grow up with other pets so he would probably do best as the only dog of the household. Milo is a very vocal dog. He barks when he's happy, hungry, excited, playing, etc. It's his way of talking, and he does it a LOT. Milo can be an affectionate dog, whether he wants to admit it or not. He loves head rubs! Milo can be stubborn and want to assert himself as king of the hill! Milo needs a family that will understand and has experience with his breed. Belgian Malinois work with police and military!

If you can give Milo an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application on our website at http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.com/adoption-form/

We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. We are an all-volunteer organziation. It may take a couple of days to process an application and complete reference checks.

Thank you for your interest in saving a life!
