Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello everyone! My name is Lily but my foster mama also calls me Lilibean. I am very happy to make your acquaintance. I’ll bet you are asking what exactly kind of dog I am.
That is an excellent question. When my foster mama saw my picture when I was in doggie jail, she thought there was a Dalmatian mix there. Cute and rolled up in a ball…Patch ears and one big spot. Dalmatian mix, right? Then I stood up on little Corgi /Dachshund legs and stretched out my long Corgi/ Dachshund body, and the guessing started. I only weigh 25 pounds, not the 50 pounds of Dalmatian wannabe that my mom expected. But I was way too cute to leave behind. So here I am!
The best thing that you need to know is that I am the most wonderful dog anyone could ask for.
I am quiet, so quiet that in two weeks of living with my foster family and all the dogs, kids, goings on, and chaos around here, they have never heard me bark. I have a bark but I must be saving it for something big.
But when I see my FMama after she has been out, I bounce up and down and wag my tail so fast my whole back end joins in. Iam SO excited!! She calls me BuzzyBee- but I would never jump up on anyone- or sting. I am a happy BuzzyBee. So I am quiet but very family oriented and want to be in the same room my family is in.
I live with four other dogs. Big dogs. They love me and I love them. We have lots of dogs and people coming and going around here all the time, and I love them all. While I haven’t met a cat, that I know of, I am sure I would be happy with a cat as well. When I went to visit my Auntie's house, I was great with her cats. Her cats were crabby with me. Oh well!
My family insists on taking me for a mile walk every day, and while the first half-mile is dandy, the second half mile is too long and hot for me. I do it but would be happier inside in the air conditioning, napping on the couch. These humans are a bit on the confused side. 90 degree heat is not “let’s go for a walk” weather. I do like to lie in the sun outside for a quick bit, though so maybe they aren’t the only crazy ones. Huh!
I would like to find a quiet, cuddling family. I love other dogs and kids but the thing I like to do best is to is to relax with my humans. My favorite thing is lying on the couch, next to my Mama or Dad with my head on their leg. I could and probably SHOULD go on walks but so far, I am a low energy girl who enjoys following my foster mama around the house and yard. I sleep on her bed at night, though I am told the foster dogs NEVER sleep on the bed. But she needs a small dog to watch over her. The big dogs have to sleep on the floor. HA!
So if you are looking for a Corgi, Dachshund, Heeler, Dalmatian ??? huggie, cuddly doggie, I am the girl for you. Of course, I am spayed and UTD on my vaccinations and my veterinarian says I am around two years old, best guess. A lady never reveals her age so the best guess is all you will get.
I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Call me.
