My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One evening, my rescuers in Jordan received a call about a paralyzed dog (result of shooting) in south Amman. They sent someone to pick him up, but he could not find him. Instead, he found me in the same area, also shot and unable to move my rear legs. I am sure there were many like me in that area, shot and left to die.

The nice man took me and brought me to Amman. During the following weeks, my rescuers consulted with numerous vets with the determination of getting me the best treatment. When the vet evaluated my x-rays, she could see small pellets around my spine, which inhibited me from moving my rear legs. Thankfully, with intensive treatment and a lot of TLC from my foster dad, I am now able to walk again! Although I gained my ability to walk, I now walk differently than most dogs, which makes me undesirable here.

My rescuers named me Lunita after seeing a video of a paralyzed dog being transported from Argentina to the United States, where she was able to find a wonderful life with a loving family. They took it as a sign and hoped that I would have the same destiny.

I am happy to inform you that I have received my chance to travel to the United States to my rescuer's partners, Canaan Dog Alliance. They promised that they would work hard to find me a loving home.
I am around a year old, and although I have experienced hardships, I have transcended beyond them. I am very sweet, but a bit shy. I know I will blossom with the right family. Will you give me a chance?
