My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PAISLEY – LANCASHIRE HEELER (Welsh Corgi/Manchester Terrier mix) -
This adorable little chunky girl caught my eye right off the bat when I visited the animal shelter. She saw me and she prissed up to the front of her run wagging that little tail ninety to nothing. She looked so happy and friendly, that there’s no way I could leave without her…she had already won my heart. Normally when we pull a dog from the shelter we get little to no information on them. I asked the Animal Control Officer if he would call the previous owner to get a little more info on her. The previous owner said she was four years old, sweet as pie, great with his young son and she was very protective of the family especially him. They brought a new puppy home and she did not do well with the puppy, so they took her to the animal shelter…go figure. He said she would probably do best in a single person household or at least a small family, being the only pet in the home. Being protective is a characteristic of the breed. I’m not certain of her breed, but the pictures and descriptions match her extremely well. A Lancaster Heeler is a small dog and is a mix of a Welsh Corgi and a Manchester Terrier…I totally see that in her. She’s been a perfect little angel here, she’s been sweet, fairly quiet, mannerly, hasn’t tried to dig or jump out of her pen. She’ll make a great companion for some lucky person. She weighs 21 pounds, has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccines, wormed and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400.

Paisley is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we are not accepting applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine on her since we can’t adopt directly to those states.
