Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stubbs is a polydactyl with giant paws that look like oven mitts. Polydactyl, also known as Hemingway cats have fantastic feet with extra toes. Stubbs is a sweet and loving soul with the cutest butt around. Stubbs was found in a parking lot with a severely infected tail. He was afraid and in pain. A lot of hours were put into trying to catch Stubbs and when we finally got him he responded affectionately to having his ears & head rubbed. We knew at that moment we would do anything to make sure this sweet cat would survive and thrive. Stubbs is one of those cases that costs the rescue a lot of extra money but the end result is a healthy, loving cat that will bring many years of joy to his new family. Stubbs is very affectionate with people after getting to know them. He is shy at first but will be your best friend as soon as he knows it is safe to be with you. He loves to head butt my hand to make me pet him. He is a super cat and shows love and affection with us daily. He had a very tough start in the world and now deserves the best life.
Remember, Stubbs may live 20+ years so be prepared for a long life with him. We can't hold Stubbs so please respond quickly if you are interested.
Medical: Neutered Male, Age approximately 2yrs, 8.5lbs., Tested Negative for FELV/FIV. Has had 1yr Rabies & 1 Distemper Vaccine. Advantage Multi applied the first of each month. Continue with this or whatever your Veterinarian recommends. Please only use prescription topical parasite medications. Dewormed w/ Pyrantel (2 times). Your Veterinarian should do a fecal test at their first visit after your adoption. Preventive Coccidia treatment. Each cat receives at least one distemper vaccine and follow up vaccines depending on how long they are in our care. Please continue their distemper series with your Veterinarian or at the wellness clinic at Humane Society Catawba County.
We use the following for our veterinary care: Animal Hospital North and Humane Society Catawba County. Cats may live 20+ years so be prepared for a long life with them and please have an advanced plan for them in the event you can no longer care for them. We do not hold kittens. Please pay for your kitten within 24 hours of approval. We are in Hickory, NC but we can transport your new pet by an animal transport company for an additional fee. Fee is determined by your location and your state's medical paperwork requirement for transport. Budget a range of $100-$160 for ground transport. Kitten pairs can share a crate for transport. Transport fees are not refundable so please be certain before you finalize. If you would like additional veterinary services for your new pet before pick up we will be happy to take your new pet to Animal Hospital North in Hickory, NC for any services that you arrange with them. You would pay Animal Hospital North directly for these additional services and there will be a $40 trip charge paid to Fur Babies Rescue.
