My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome Palmer is a 10-12 year old Red Pomeranian weighing in at 12 pounds. According to what we were told this poor little guy has been bounced around and around. He was given up again in December of 2020. After being in his foster home for a while he jumped off of a bed and broke his leg. Since it was still heavy Covid time it was difficult getting him to some veterinarians the one we took him to casted the leg for a couple of months. Then we were told it was not going to heal and we should amputate, after taking him to a different vet Dr. Piatt (Vineyard Veterinary) he felt that he would like to try and save the leg by plating and thankfully he was able to do that. Palmer was also neutered and received a dental. Now Palmer is completely healed and doing very well in his foster home where he loves going for walks and going out in the yard. He was used to sleeping in his humans bed with his family, though he will need a ramp or steps as he does not like being picked up and can be testy when you try to. He gets along with other dogs, enjoys his toys and chewies. He enjoys being petted. This precious little guy deserves to have a loving home in his last years. An older calm home is best suited for him no children. OFFICE

If you are interested in this dog or would like more information please send me an Adoption Questionnaire
Thank you

We appreciate that you are interested in one or more of our dogs or cats for adoption. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner.

1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it.

2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why)

a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response.

b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get.

c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to.

3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org

4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/

5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
We are closed on Sundays unless you make prior arrangements and schedule an appointment
