Ume is a delightful 2 year old female Akita! She loves to bounce around the play yard and splash in her pool! She is sweet and comes running to you for a good scratch. We have been told she doesn't like other dogs but will work with her with some same sized males to see if we can change her mind. For now she would need to be an only dog. She is very treat motivated and also loves toys!! She would do best in an active, breed experienced, adult only home.

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption agreement and ask that you keep us informed of the dog's whereabouts if you move or relocate and also that you maintain updated contact information with our organization.

We ask for a tax deductible donation of between $250 - $500 to help us pay vet bills, rescue fees, boarding & transporting expenses.

More about this rescue

We specialize in rescuing Akitas , both purebred and mixes and from time to time other large breed dogs from high kill shelters, provide medical assistance if needed, assess them and find homes. We are truly the last resort for many dog that would otherwise be put to sleep. This is a act of kindness for those in most need & out of love for the dogs.

We are an all volunteer organization that survives on donations.
