Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Big Ben!! A fuzzy wuzzy!!
Big Ben came from the Bahamas a few weeks ago with several other dogs. He is called Big Ben because he is considered one of the larger dogs they have. They should have named him Gentle Ben. He is as sweet and gentle as can be. Ben was dumped at the humane society there over a year ago for whatever reason however we do believe it was for the best. We believe Ben’s former owners were not good to him. He was extremely fearful and cowered for a year in his kennel. Of course no one showed any interest in him FOR ONE YEAR!! Finally his hero showed up. A woman saw Ben and how scared he was. She felt he deserved a second chance. Something magical happened. Ben learned to love his people and is good with some dogs. Ben will take a little time to trust you but once he does he loves you hard. He will roll over for belly rubs and nudge your hand for pets.
Ben has got to be one of the most handsome dogs there is. We think he knows it too.
About Big Ben:
Ben is 61lbs of fuzzy love, is neutered, and UTD on vaccinations. He is healthy and loving.
What we also know about Ben is that he does NOT like it when someone wears black clothing. Ben’s foster wore black clothing on two occasions and Ben’s demeanour completely changed. He cowered and growled. We spoke to the rescue he came from and it was thought that the people who had Ben first may not have been so nice to him and they wore some sort of black uniform. Poor Ben.
Ben is living his best life now. He is happy, he loves going for walks and he loves getting his pets and belly rubs.
He likes some dogs and if he goes to a home with kids they need to be older and respectful of dogs.
Ben will need a home with a fenced in backyard.
Ben is located in the GTA.
