My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We do not know the details of Buddy's life prior to being rescued but can only assume, it was hard. Buddy was dumped in one of the highest kill shelters in Los Angeles. He was literally a sack of bones. The "owner" said, he didn't want to eat. When the shelter staff offered him some food, he practically inhaled it. Buddy was too traumatized to be up for public adoption, so he came to our rescue to recover before starting the journey of finding a new home. Buddy is at a great weight now. He's a very, very sensitive dog and will not eat when he's stressed, so you can imagine how stressed he was with his previous owner to become skin and bones.
Buddy does like certain men but in general he prefers women. He loves butt scratches and is a quiet guy. We are looking for a calm/adult (preferably 1 person household) with yard access. Buddy is great on walks but is content just being in the house and the yard.
Buddy is very well behaved in the house, he doesn't bark and is lovely to be around.
Will you be that special person that shows Buddy, that loving homes without abuse exist?
