My story

Hi there, I'm Patrick (HWTH#21096A). I am a Basenji mix, born 10/20/20 and I weigh 31 lbs. My buds Plato (HWTH#21098A), Prince (HWTH#21110) and I showed up in the yard of a lady living in Mojave near the rescue. She could not keep us so we came to Halfway to Home and now that my stray hold is up I am ready for a new forever home. I am a puppy which means I am a little bit of a project. I am learning "sit" and how to walk on a leash but I need more practice and additional obedience training. I need lots of chew toys so that I am chewing on the correct things. I also need help with potty-training. I am friendly towards people and other dogs, but I am not sure if I do well with children. That is something we can figure out at our meet-and-greet. I would prefer a home with a securely- fenced yard for exercise and play, but given the right situation I may be ok with an apartment or condo.
