My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We need you. They need you.

Sheba and Lacy are bonded sisters looking for their perfect ever after. One of our most dedicated volunteers spied them on a rural county’s social media. She couldn’t look away from these super senior love bugs. We couldn’t either. It’s simple, it’s what we do. We scooped them up and had them vetted. Their bloodwork is unremarkable (that’s quite something considering Sheba is 12 and Lacy is 16). We can’t guess how much time Lacy will still be with us, but we are positive that she and Sheba deserve a loving hospice home filled with soft beds, yummy treats and all the love their people can shower on them. Right now, they only need medication for their arthritic hips. Should this change in the future, Forever Loved will be there to provide financial support.

We are asking you to open your heart and home to these two deserving girls for the last, best chapter of their lives. We want them to go from castaways at a rural shelter to a valued, cherished part of your pack. Love shouldn’t be measured by months and years, but by the joy we bring to each other. Please consider giving Sheba and Lacy this precious gift in their twilight years.

Our adopters are special. Choosing to adopt an older dog takes a special kind of dedication and love. Making the choice to bring a hospice dog into your home is a brave act of service. Choosing a bonded pair of hospice sisters is truly amazing. Sheba and Lacy are waiting for their happily ever after, is that with you?
