My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our beautiful girl, Babs.

Babs is a Xoloitzcuintli aka Mexican Hairless Dog. You don't see this ancient breed very often. Babs came to us through a puppy mill so we don't know a whole lot about her backstory.

Babs is very timid in all new situations and when meeting new people. She comes alive when she goes outside but is still very weary of her surroundings. She has a very calm and loving personality when she gets to know you. Babs will need a quiet and patient home who will be willing to let her feel comfortable at her own pace. She may never be a social butterfly but her bond with her human companion will be very strong.

Xolo's can often have high prey drive's but Babs is a bit more on the laid-back side so she may be able to share her home with a calm kitty. At this time, we do not recommend Babs go to a home with other high energy dogs because her owner needs to work one and one with Babs to work on her social skills and overcome her fears.

Anyone who is interested in Babs will need to thoroughly research the breed so they fully understand their characteristics and any of their unique health needs.
