My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Trevor
Nicknames: Little Man, Pogo, Mr T, Trev, Gremlin, The Little One, Leavo
Breed: Terrier Mix
Age: 1 Year
Weight: 7lbs.
Before OMD: Found lying unconscious on the sidewalk by a good samaritan. Rushed to animal control after hours. Received immediate treatment for severe dehydration and made it through the night. We picked him up the next day and hospitalized him to continue IV fluids, multiple small meals a day and regular monitoring of his anemia and bloodwork.
Descriptors: Spritely. Playful. Affectionate. Intuitive.
Energy Level: Medium-High. Loves to play but can calm down quickly and can easily adjust to his person’s energy. He can read a room.
Affection level: Stage 5 clinger.
Vocal Level: Apartment friendly.
Best physical features: His moldable mohawk. His peekaboo tongue when he sleeps.
Our favorite things: He is always happy. He is one beat away from your heart and emotions. #miniaturetherapist. He gives hugs and sits vertically in laps to position himself for maximum kissing opportunities.
What makes us smile: His pogo stick bounce (all four off the floor). His fake play growls (emphasis on fake). His neck nuzzles.
His favorite things: All the toys. When his people hand him said toys. When said toys are bigger than he is. Treats. Back scratches. Car sing alongs. Fetch. Peanut butter. Stealing his bunny foster sibling's lettuce.
Secret Obsessions: Temptations cat treats.
What he knows: Sit. Come. Stay. In your crate.
Working on: Mouthing. Hand nibbles. Down. Drop it. Door dashing.
Dogs: Yes but dog friends should be calm, submissive and unfazed by any initial Terrier spiciness.
Cats: Absolutely. Respectful with those who prefer their space. Ready to wrestle and play with those who are up for it.
Extended friend circle: Bunnies.
Kids: We think he would love his own kiddos but the entire family should be aware of his sharp needle teeth that he uses to (lovingly) communicate.
Housebroken: 100% on peeing outside (after a transition period). Pooping outside is hit or miss. Lucky his poops are small.
Crate Trained: Sure is.
Must haves: Humans who 1) welcome dogs in bed and under the covers 2) appreciate his love of snuggles, cuddles and need to be touching you at all times 3) understand that he's sensitive and raised voices make him cower and 4) aren't above dog accessories -- he would love to a backpack, pouch or Baby Bijorn-esque carrier of his own.

Trevor is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped. He’s available for adoption for residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from Omdrescue.org.
