Hey there, I'm Maverick (HWTH#21141A)! I am a German Shepherd, born 6/18/18 and I weigh 67 lbs. I just showed up one day in front of a lady's home in Rosamond. She kept good care of me while she tried to find my owner, but no one claimed me. Now I am at Halfway to Home and ready to find my forever family. The folks here are just getting to know me but my finder says I am very gentle and loving. I like to run in the morning and then I tend to just chill out and relax for the rest of the day. My sweet disposition means I would probably get along well with children, but we'd have to find that out together when you come to meet me. I enjoy other dogs company, and i respond well to corrections. I need a home with a big securely-fenced yard to keep me safe while I run around and play with my squeaky toys, so I would not be a good fit for an apartment or condo. Obedience training will help me learn what is expected of me and help me bond with you. I already appear to be house-trained. Multiple daily walks will keep me exercised and happy, but more than anything I want to be inside and treated like part of a family.
