My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Royal is a rescue stray from the county pound. He was found with his sister in the Town of Bedford. Estimated born December 2020. He is a big boy of 50 pounds at 6 months of age. He has a beautiful shiny red coat of hair and a warm heart of gold. With so many rescue animals, Royal has not been taught any boundaries or commands. His foster home is teaching him not to potty in his kennel, walk on a leash, sit before he gets his food and not to jump up on his people. Royal needs a home that is interested in taking this warm hearted virgin and turning him into a wonderful companion. Royal would probably do fine with a teen child that is a strong leader so that Royal does not revert back to jumping on his people and to keep him learning commands. It would be nice for Royal to have a nice fenced yard to play in but walking on a leash or long lead is important to continue in Royal’s learning to be a great companion.

Royal has been neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for Heartworms and Tick Born Diseases. For more information, please call the Bedford Humane Society at 540-586-6100, or go to www.bhsva.org/adoptions-home.htm to fill out an adoption application.
