Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet the sweetest girl ever - Miss Fuzzface or Fuzzy, as we call her. She is a 3 year old, 40 lb. blue merle female. Fuzzy is fully potty trained and crate trained. She is quiet in her crate all night. She may whimper once or twice, but quiets down after telling her to go to sleep. She will often go lay in her crate while we watch tv in the evenings. She is very comfortable going in and out of it at will. She is okay being left alone in the house too although she has been known to counter surf, if food is left out and will get in the trash if there is something enticing there.
She is learning commands and will need an adopter to continue her training. She will sit, shake hands, lay down and come (recall) for treats. She is currently learning high five. Fuzzy walks very well on a leash with either a harness or a martingale collar.
Fuzzy is absolutely as sweet as she looks. She likes laying in laps for pets but is also content to play with her toys. She also can just chill somewhere in the house. She is a true velcro dog who has a penchant for hoarding - it might be your shoes, socks, slippers, and other articles of clothing. She is not destructive of them; just likes gathering them.
Fuzzy is a bit shy upon meeting new people and will often choose to visit a quiet area when strangers are around. With her foster home, she is always ready to give kisses and receive belly rubs. She believes that every time someone walks by they must give her belly rubs, so she automatically rolls over and wags her tail. (A girl can dream, right?)
When in public, Fuzzy accepts attention and pets from anyone offering them. She is good with adults, (respectful) kids, and male dogs. She has shown aversion to female dogs. She is good with other dogs but prefers slow introductions to other dogs. Fuzzy has not been tested with cats
Fuzzy can be a little sensitive to loud noises, which is not uncommon, but she recovers pretty quickly with soft talk and, of course, lots of pets and belly rubs. Fuzzy’s ideal home would be on the quieter side; children older than 8 and potentially another playful (male) pup. Fuzzy would do best with a fully enclosed yard.
Fuzzy is spayed. microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. She is on monthly preventatives for heartworm, fleas and ticks. Monthly preventatives are required for adoption.
Fuzzy is being fostered in central, IL.
