My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My Story

This kitty is a treasure and so rescuers named her Jewel. Jewel is all love and snuggles, purrs and trills. Once she feels safe and familiar with her surroundings, she is demanding of affection and attention. She is very dog-like in that she will follow people around, asking for love and attention.

She is a petite female with short soft hair and beautiful orange coloring who speaks in soft mews and trills. Jewel is cautious initially, and needs to feel safe before she snuggles in beside someone. She loves playing (particularly with interactive toys), still has kitten energy, and runs to meet her foster mom to get treats and attention.

Jewel likes pets, and will give head-butts and likes to rub against people to claim them as her own. She will sit and snuggle with someone working from home or sharing a Netflix show and has been a sensitive emotional support kitty in her most recent foster home. She enjoys looking out windows and is particularly fond of a cat tree where she can enjoy a view of all that's going on.

She was spotted by rescuers with a broken leg and in desperate need of medical help. She has travelled halfway around the world from Qatar to Virginia to find a forever family. Now beautiful, healthy, and ready to be invited home, she will need time to acclimate to family life, but then will bond closely and spend many loving, fun years with her forever people.

Jewel wants to be the only feline in the family but could possibly adapt to a family with a dog if slowly introduced to a cat friend dog. Fostered in Burke, Va.

Jewel -spayed, dsh orange and white tabby, vaccinated, microchip, 11 mos,
