Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Baby is a beautiful 2-year old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner to the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden on June 14, 2021 along with several of her companions who had shared her home (Butterscotch, Midnight, Patches, Sammy, Stormy and Stripes).
Baby has a shiny black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a very pretty face with large golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.
This young lady has a calm quiet disposition and a sweet easygoing personality.
Baby was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on June 14, 2021. She was also combo tested and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. Baby is a tiny girl who weighs just 5.1 lbs. She was given booster vaccines on July 7, 2021.
Baby gave us quite a surprise when our kennel techs arrived at work on Sunday, August 15th .. Baby had apparently been keeping a very important secret since she gave birth to one kitten during the overnight- or early morning hours. Baby and her kitten were immediately moved to a large pop-up in our shelter manager's office.
Baby's biological kitten (a black female) has been named 'Bambino'.
When two orphaned kittens were brought to the shelter a few weeks later (August 30, 2021), they were placed with Baby to see if she would accept them .. Which she did with 'open paws' and began nursing/giving them kitten baths without hesitation.
Sadly, one of the smaller orphaned kittens did not survive and passed away on September 9, 2021. The larger orphaned kitten has been named 'Lone Ranger' and is thriving thanks to Momma Baby.
These photos of Baby were taken on June 17, 2021 (before she unexpectedly became a mother). Photos of Baby and her two kittens (Bambino & Lone Ranger) are posted in a separate listing.
Both of Baby's kittens were separated from her in late October 2021 after they were fully weaned. Bambino and Lone Ranger are sharing a cage and have remained together.
Baby was spayed on November 16, 2021 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 7.4 lbs. Baby is ready to find a home of her very own either through adoption or rescue.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
