Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Duck Boy, also known as LDB, is a Crested Snowy Call Duck who was found abandoned on Long Island. LDB had a cracked bill and very long nails when we found him, indicating he was likely kept in a wire cage before we rescued him. (Call ducks were originally bred to be tiny enough to fit in cages duck hunters would cruelly carry to attract wild ducks to shoot when the call ducks called out for help.)
Little Duck Boy gets his name because of his miniature stature but he is very bold with a huge personality. LDB is good with adults and children alike, even enjoying perching on heads and shoulders. LDB is capable of flight but prefers not to walk and swim instead.
While LDB's crest makes him look quite dashing, it is actually a skull malformation intentionally bred into his species by breeder's who value profits over animal welfare. Crested ducks are susceptible to brain injury and may exhibit neurological issues later in life, so LDB would best be cared for by someone with a knowledgeable avian vet and with only female ducks, preferably similar to him in size.
