My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bailey!

Hi, I'm Bailey! I'm a 10 yr old, 20 pound Schnoodle. That's a fancy name for Schnauzer Poodle mix. Albert's Dog Lounge was kind enough to take me in after my mom could no longer care for me but my foster mom and dad say I settled right in as if I've lived here my whole life and I really like it here. I get really happy and excited when my foster parents come home and I bounce around all silly like. I love being outside in my fenced yard; it's my favorite thing to do. I am working on my potty training but can hold it all night. If I get let out frequently during the day, I do pretty good. I've heard my foster parents say I'm a grump sometimes but I have them trained now and they don't take my bowl away until I tell them I'm all done. (some humans learn a little slower than others) I have several dogs in my house and I like them all. I just saw the Doctor and she said I need to lose a few pounds. How rude! I'm looking for a home where I can get a lot of love and not have to be alone all of the time. I don't know about the little humans though. I think I would prefer teenagers and older; they seem to be more trainable than the little ones. Most of all, I just want someone there with me and to show me how much they love me. So, if you're ready for a buddy to hang out with and maybe share some snacky snacks with, I'm your guy. I'll keep you smiling! Thanks! Bailey

Albert's Dog Lounge is a transporting dog rescue, meaning that we rescue many of our dogs from high kill shelters in areas of dog overpopulation. We are a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. The vast majority of our dogs come from the Houston, TX area where we have an entire team of volunteers, coordinators, and fosters. We do also work with local shelters, rescues, and owners. If you apply for a dog that is currently in our local Houston program, we will work to get your dog transported to WI as quickly as possible. We ask that you have patience during this time of uncertainty and unprecedented dog adoptions nationwide.

Learn more about Albert's Dog Lounge, our mission, and adoption policies by visiting Albertsdoglounge.org.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $275.
