My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sanchez (aka Itty Bit) is a sweet 4-year old male Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who was surrendered by his family on June 15, 2021 along with Sparky (a large American Bulldog) who had shared his home. When you see these two boys together, they are an unlikely pair of best friends because of their size difference. It was touching to see Sanchez' reaction when they were reunited for a few photos after we finished taking Sparky's pictures.

Sanchez has a tan-and-cream short smooth coat, short legs, a rather long body, a long tail, and a cute face with Chihuahua features including a slender muzzle, and large erect ears.

Sanchez has a charming personality and was a social butterfly while HSOV assistant manager Rachal Merrow had him outdoors for his photo session. He is both playful and affectionate.

Sanchez has some skin issues (possibly demodectic/treatable non-contagious mange) and is missing most of his hair at the present time. He will be examined by a veterinarian asap.

Sanchez weighs 10.4 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash.

Sanchez was neutered on April 30, 2018.

Since Sanchez was adopted from our shelter in May 2018, we are including a photo of him that was taken on April 27, 2018 which shows the coloring of his coat so that potential adopters can envision what he will look like after his hair grows back.
