Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kiki originally came to us on 7-13-19 from an upstate shelter, where she was a shelter favorite. The staff there insisted that we send them pictures and updates about this well-liked dog of theirs. They had requested rescue assistance because Kiki was showing "kennel stress," and she is indeed an energetic dog who doesn’t like being confined away from people. Initially Kiki was brought to her shelter by someone who found her one month ago, and she was unclaimed by her owner. She weighs about 70 pounds and, other than her unfortunate ear crop, her conformation and carriage are quite stunning. We think she may do best in an adult home or one with older, teenage aged kids due to her size and energy level. Kiki's behavior with other dogs is very hit-or-miss and she can be quite dominant. At this time, we can only recommend that she be the only dog in the home. Kiki's energy level is ideal for people looking for a running buddy or hiking companion. She is whip smart but needs a strong leader (mentally and physically) to put those smarts to good use and help her be the best version of herself.
