My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Morris also known as Georgie. He is a smooth Coated Collie mix. He is long and lean, energetic, loving and he adores other dogs. He gets along well (almost too well) with other dogs. He doesn't have an alpha bone in his body but leans into any new canine interaction. His initial CCPAL foster home in Texas was full of other animals and at times here he had access to my parents' pups here (they live in FL). Not that I have any say in the matter, I would love knowing he's going to a home with other animals (or at least will be exposed to them much more). His favorite activities with other pups are chase, keep away, tug and wrestling.
- No bad behavior outside of his hyperactivity. He might have some herding genes in him since he'll occasionally try to nip at heels but it's not destructive and my lack of exercise/training would explain that. He's a gentle soul...just active.
- 40 pounds. He is lean but muscular. Can stretch out and look long and curl up into a tiny ball.
- Heartworm negative; up to date on all vaccines; fecal negative too
- Current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention
- He loves to run. Chasing others, chasing a stick, being chased, running a circuit through the snow. He has never run off but you can tell his natural state is active.
- I just recently introduced him to water. He was hesitant at first but coaxed him in by throwing sticks. He seemed to pick up 'swimming' fairly quickly but it was only brief exposure so I can't claim he's an Olympian just yet.
- He's a mutt through-and-through. Most prominent perhaps are whippet (explains the speed and the desire to cuddle) and either cattle dog or border collie. Very robust and healthy. Adoption fee is 250. He is currently in Londonderry Vermont looking for a forever home.
