Maggie, 5 years old and Cookie, 3 years old are looking for their best life with their forever home. The girl's are very sweet personality, are comfortable with both men & women, love to have a lap to snuggle on, sleep in the big bed, have a yard to chase squirrels, sunbathe and enjoy the scents & sounds. Maggie's personality is more shy/reserved and takes a little time to warm up whereas Cookie is more free-spirited and outgoing.
They get along with small dogs, do have a prey drive so no cats, bunnies or other small critters and would be more relaxed with children that are in their teenage years. Both girls are potty-trained, are working on leash manners, are crate-trained (although not fans) and are tiny (Maggie weighs 8.5 lbs. and Cookie 7 lbs.) where they can easily slip out of an open door or gate very quickly.
Maggie and Cookie would LOVE nothing more than to be a part of your family, go on adventures, explore and be your best buddies!!!
Maggie lost an eye prior to coming into rescue and we do not know how but we do know that she is perfect and her forever family forever will accept her just as she is.
The requirements are as follows:
- Ownership of a single-family residence (no condo, townhome or apartment)
- Fully fenced and secured yard
- Home full-time, retired, work from home or part-time (no more than 4 hours)
- Active walkers
- Breed specific knowledge (Chihuahua & Dachshund)
- Quite lifestyle and home
- Lots of love, patience and commitment
