Ada von Aichach is a beautiful 2.5 year old German Shepherd. A mid-energy girl, she meets other dogs well and is vying for the Most Social Miss award in her playgroups. A true shepherd, she may take a moment to get comfortable with new people, but is always happy to see staff she knows and is such a people-pleaser. Ada will thrive with an owner who will continue her training - one who knows how rewarding a life-long relationship with this breed can be. In the play yard, Ada likes to get familiar with her surroundings and will check in with you from time to time. She loves getting affection and attention from her people. Ada boasts that she is house-trained, crate-trained and knows her sit, down, and paw commands. She also likes water. ( No cats for Ada, please.)
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Ada von Aichach YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: www.sheprescue.org
Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.

In order to adopt any dog from Westside German Shepherd Rescue, one must fill out an adoption application first. Upon receipt of your application, a Westside adoption counselor will contact you.We do aerial home checks and you may be asked to supply pictures as well as arranging for a home visit prior to adoption.
Adoption fees vary with each dog and typically range from $150 to $500. They are set, taking into account the dog's age, training level, temperament, if they’re newly arrived, medical condition(s) (if any) and other factors. Adoption fees are used not only to rescue and place the dog you are personally adopting, but to aid in the future rescue and rehabilitation of other deserving dogs. Adoption fees are necessary; without fees, our rescue efforts would quickly come to an end. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations.
