Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HI! Please meet Annie! Annie is a 2.5-year-old, Wire-Haired-Border Collie mix. Miss Annie is energetic and loves to hike, bike, and play! She is also a cuddler and loves curling up on the couch right next to you after an adventure. Annie also loves playing in the snow (catching snowballs), chewing on sticks, and chasing her tail. She is very food motivated and eager to please. She knows her basic commands as well as a few tricks!
Her leash manners could still use some work, but she is getting there. She responds really well to positive reinforcement and treat-training, but punishment-based training doesn’t work for her. She is an awesome companion dog, but she is dog selective . Annie does well with several other dogs, so it is really a case-by-case basis for her to make friends.
She LOVES kids!! However, she is a resource guarder and would do better with older kids who know how to read her body language. She is looking for a medium-high activity level home with a yard and without young children.
Annie will need an experienced pack leader!
If you would like to meet Miss Annie, please email ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG for an adoption application.
