Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Can you resist those eyes? Whiskey is a 2 year old Terrier boy who was rescued off the streets in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Shortly after his rescue, when we did a thorough vet check, we realized that Whiskey was living with a damaged windpipe. At some point in his time living on the streets, it is very likely that someone kicked him or something like that, and injured his windpipe.
Since it is an older injury the vet couldn´t recommend surgery, Whiskey is able to live with it with no problem, he can run and play, but you have to be aware of it and never squeeze his throat or put pressure on it. Whiskey has to wear a body harness always, never a collar that could hurt his throat. But if you didn´t know it, you would never think he was injured.
Whiskey is a medium size boy of 45lbs with medium to high energy level. He loves to play, especially with other girl dogs his size or larger who can keep up with him.
Whiskey is in many ways still a puppy, he plays quite rambunctious and he grabs everything with his mouth. He will need some training with that, that´s why we don´t recommend him for a family with younger kids.
Whiskey LOVES people, he enjoys cuddles and belly rubs and gives hugs!
Whiskey is dog selective and gets along great with girl dogs, but doesn´t like a lot of males, so he would not be a good off leash dog or for dog parks. Ideally he would like a home with a fully fenced yard to romp around in.
Whiskey is fully vaccinated and neutered and ready for a home! Whiskey will be flying to Vancouver on August 29th and needs collecting there.
