Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Daisy! This beauty looks like a puppy but is full grown at a petite 33 pounds Her favorite things are sunning herself outside, hanging out in her crate when she’s inside (it’s her safe space), and eating spaghetti of all things! She is house trained, good with other dogs AND good with the resident cat. She is a sweet dog, but is generally fearful and especially does not trust most people. That being said, she also does not like being alone (will whine and howl). So, she wants to be with people but just doesn’t easily trust that those same people won’t hurt her.
She needs a family that has a lot of patience and time to slowly earn her trust- could that be you?
Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
