Abaco

As you can see from his pictures, Abaco’s disposition is as sunny as his namesake island.

This friendly little boy is happy go lucky, loves exploring the backyard, enjoys sidekick status to bigger dogs, and also likes to seek them out to cuddle when he’s sleepy. He likes the energy and playfulness of kids (6+) but also is still learnring that puppy teeth are really sharp and biting isn’t the way to love people! Abaco and #TheIslanders have begun accepting applicants in anticipation of their sterilization and final boosters in a couple of weeks. He will need a fenced in yard and playful, patient doggie buddy in his forever home. We can’t wait to see this guys find his perfect home. We expect giant smiles all around to match his!

Being heeler mixes, these dogs will be smarter than the average bear. They will need people who can keep up with them! They’ll need mental stimulation and exercise outlets in order to avoid destructive behavior as they grow and mature. These are NOT first time dogs (they need others anyway) and will do best in an environment with a routine of healthy boundaries, discipline, exercise, and BRAIN GAMES! Outside is their favorite - for sunbathing, exploring, digging, wrestling, and just being a well-rounded DOG!
