Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Microchipped/ DOB: May 21, 2018 (3 years old)
Ruckus is an extremely friendly and gentle young boy. He’s a cuddle bug who loves affection. He always likes to be close to people, he likes napping beside his favourite humans and receiving constant pets. He doesn't scratch, bite, or swat at all. Ruckus is a joyful and calm soul who would be a perfect pal even if you do not have experience with cats.
His funniest quirk is his dramatic meowing to get fed. He also has the habit of hiding all his toys in the weirdest places and making his human playmates hunt for them.
Ruckus was found as a stray so very little is known about his prior life. Because he is so social and adapted to a home environment so quickly, his foster family believes he had a loving family before coming under the care of Toronto Cat Rescue.
Although Ruckus has Feline Immuno Virus (FIV), he is healthy and asymptomatic. He has a great appetite and is full of energy. Ruckus will lead a long life by providing him with a high-quality diet and regular vet check-ups.
In the short period that Ruckus has been with his foster family, they say that he has enriched their lives with love and happiness to an extraordinary level.
Ruckus has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV+ cats can live long happy lives with a good diet, low stress, indoor homes, loving families, and annual vet check-ins. He does not require medication. He can live in a home with other non-FIV+ cats, as the virus is only passed to other cats by blood (i.e. deep bite marks). Please do not judge him based on a blood test!
