My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There are many, many Terrier and Corgi lovers in the dog world...they're considered to be amongst two of the most desirable breeds and breed mixes. This is due to their consistently engaging temperaments, loyalty, and super-intelligence. There's also no question that they're strikingly beautiful with their cottony-soft coats and soft, expressive eyes.

Beau is an adorable as can be Cairn Terrier with a bit of Corgi in his mix (check out those adorable ears!). Beau's coat is currently shelter-sad..he's in need of a sudsy bath and a deep brushing that will rid him of his tired shelter coat. Beau will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition. 5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are perfect protocols for lifelong health and coat care.

Beau is just about 18 - 24 months old and a tiny 11 lbs. This is such a perfect age and size...old enough to have left his babyish behaviors behind and young enough to have many, many active, healthy years ahead loving his family. Beau is the greatest size to be able to accompany his people everywhere a very sweet and tiny pup is welcome.

At this early point in Beau's development, he loves virtually everyone and is a world class lap pup. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Beau to a family that expresses their devotion for him in many different ways. Farfel's feels strongly that every dog should have the opportunity to attend virtual or in-person positive reinforcement/force free puppy kindergarten followed by level 1 obedience classes to be the very best adult dog they're capable of being. These classes develop very strong bonds between a family and their dog while teaching skills that a dog will use for the rest of their life. Due to the amazing value of this training experience, Farfel's isn't willing to adopt Beau to a family that doesn't choose this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both virtual and in-person positive reinforcement/force-free trainers in your area.

We feel that Beau would be most comfortable with active, dog-crazy retirees who have the time and energy for a young dog. A younger family with older kids that can participate in the training and loving of this sweet guy is a great choice as well. Beau is a snuggler and a very loving young guy..these traits come out when he feels secure within his family. We feel that Beau is too sensitive to be left alone while his family works full-time outside of the home. Those that work from a home-based office is a great option for our sweet guy.

Beau (like all dogs) is happier and therefore more well-behaved if he's given enough exercise and fun... followed by snuggling with his favorite people. It would be a family who spend lots of time at home (or chooses to take a sweet dog on their adventures) that would provide a great forever home for Beau. He would enjoy the time spent together and would blossom with a family that considers their dog a valued member of their family.

We're currently searching for an active and very loving family for our sweet Beau. If interested in this beautiful and very cuddly and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit.

**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Beau, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder, Rescueme and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
