My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boomer is a husky through and through! He came from a family that had him for all 7 years of
his life. Unfortunately, due to their lack of knowledge on the breed, they felt euthanizing him was
the best option when they could no longer care for him. We disagreed. They admitted they were
uninformed and didn’t put in the effort to keep him. Here’s a little more about Boomer himself:
He came from a home with two small children. According to his owners and our own personal
experience, he is absolutely phenomenal with children! He loves people and is an excellent foot
warmer. He has separation anxiety when left alone in the home, so crated if left alone is best.
Preferably a plastic travel crate, as that’s what he feels most comfortable in. He loves all people
and is the life of the party! He’s a great leash walker, and wants nothing more than to go for
walks or hikes. Boomer is THE best car rider and will hop right in raring to go! He loves toys and
sleeps with them in his crate at night, but also does well sleeping in bed with his person if you
don’t mind that sort of thing. Boomer is a big boy and can jump medium to low fences, so a tall
or electrified fence is best for containing him in a backyard. Boomer is quirky, but he’s SUCH an
amazing dog! He will need an adopter who is knowledgeable about Huskies and their quirky
behaviors. Boomer is a 7 yr old neutered male husky who is up to date on vaccinations,
heartworm negative, microchipped, and on preventatives. Oh and since he resides here in Tennessee we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport always puts the animals first.
