Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Lee had a sleepover and here is what they had to say! The sounds of a home are intriguing to him. He wasn’t scared by the TV, he was just interested in it. Largely he just wanted to snuggle all night and lay right next to me or on me. He’s not house trained, but he does give subtle cues when he does have to go outside to go potty so I feel this will be a quick learn for him.
Potential adopters should know that due to his allergies, his medication will cost roughly $100 a month. He’s not allergic to food, just the environment which has caused infections in his ears. The vets at University of Illinois believe that once his infection is cleared up, he will need Apoquel daily, topical ear medications such as steroid drops two or three times a week, medicated baths perhaps once a week, and vet visits every three to six months to assess his skin, ears and allergy control.
Lee is a sweet boy that needs to be the only animal in the home.

TAPS-Tazewell Animal Protective Society was founded in 1958 in Pekin Illinois in a building donated by the City of Pekin on River Road. In 1979, rapidly rising river water forced the evacuation of the animals. Once again, the City of Pekin stepped in and donated a building for the animals. Several moves later, and with the help and generosity of many volunteers and community members, TAPS now has a new home at 100 TAPS Lane. Last year we celebrated 50 year of caring for the homeless animals of Central Illinois.
