My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bishop! One of my most well behaved dogs in his kennel here at the shelter but we know he is just itching to get out which is obvious on his walks. Volunteers who walk Bishop say that he loves to go for long walks and has lots of love to give - almost too much love at times so much that they need to redirect Bishop with some treats. Bishop responds well to stern and clear communication if he is getting too excited which happens sometimes when you are cooped up all day and finally have a friend with you! If you are willing to give this guy a shot and continue training him to work on is excitability, we think Bishop will just be a big ball of love. It's possible he didn't receive a ton of love in his past so just showing him the slightest bit of love makes this boy sometimes get too excited so we are thinking once he realizes he's found his forever family that will show him love everyday that he'll start getting used to it! No matter what though, we can guarantee that this boy will always be down for a walk, kisses, and treats. He prefers to be the center of your attention, no surprise there, so please no other animals in the household. If you think Bishop is the perfect dog to add to your household, we'd love to introduce you here at the shelter so come on down!
