My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to go to www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to complete the Adoption Application***

Hi!  My name is Sir Nala!  Yeah I know...kinda funny but most of the people at the shelter just call me Sir which I kind of like.  Its distinguished you know being called Sir sort of like famous people that go by their first name like Madonna, Prince or Pink!  So, here's the deal, my little sister and I (she looks just like me so no denying that she's related!) came to the shelter when we were teenagers.  My sis did a much better job of adjusting to the way things are around here including all of the other cats but I just cannot seem to fit in.  I would love a home though...very, very much actually, where it was just me or maybe my sister cuz she's not too bad really.  She loves dogs too by the way and the volunteers said they would also introduce me and see what I think....I'll get back to you on that part!  However, what I do love is FOOD!!!!!  And I absolutely love to play with toys too!  In fact, most of the volunteers say I'm really more dog like than a cat really.  Hey, maybe that's why I don't fit in...maybe I'm really a dog caught in a Cat body!!!!!  Anyway, I digress... I, Sir, would love a home with no other cats except maybe my sister, possibly a dog and some one that would like to play with me.  So a home with children would be kinda cool as I imagine they would like a friend that would like to play?  We are both altered, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped.  If you need a chubby friend with a big personality then pop over to that website listed at the top of the my bio and shoot the ECAS your application.  Oh I almost forgot....I'm really vocal!  I have lots to say and I would love it if someone would like to have a conversation with me about you know...stuff!

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
