Up for adoption in Texas: Jonesy.
Jonesy is a two-year-old, 50-pound ball of love and energy! He absolutely loves playing with other dogs and would do really well in a home with another dog or dogs who like to play. This Lab mix is full of energy, and he definitely needs someone who will be sure he gets lots of exercises. Jonesy loves being on the go. He would probably excel in doggie daycare or playgroups, hikes, and just being out and about and smelling the smells. We don't DNA test our dogs, but he loves following his nose. We would not be surprised if he may have hound in him? We know one thing for sure: He is adorable!
In his foster home, he lived happily with dogs and a cat. He is shy at first with people but warms up quickly. He can be skittish in new situations or when loud noises happen, but he does better with time and patience. He’s still training on walking well on a leash, but he is super smart and picks things up quickly. Jonesy had some leash reactivity in one foster home-- now he seems to be doing well in another environment, but if he develops that again, we would recommend positive reinforcement training for him, and we can help any adopter get on the right road if issues crop up.
He is house and crate trained. He loves a good bed to nap on. He is not food aggressive. He sits for treats, and meals and he loves to give a high five! This is one goofy, sweet boy.
