My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Artie! He is an adorable 13 week old Lab/Husky/Beagle mix puppy (Breed is just a guess). Artie's mom is Gretel and she is about 40 lbs.  We have included a pic of Gretel in Artie's bio.  Artie is the last of his siblings to be adopted and he is ready for his turn to find his forever home.  Artie LOVES to run and play with the resident dogs in his foster home.   He loves to hang out in the yard and chase bugs and smelling the smells in the breeze.  Artie follows his foster mom around and helps her out with chores whenever he can:)  Artie is working on house training.   Since Artie is a young puppy,  he will require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue his training - no exceptions! (This includes after COVID.)    Artie is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped and will need to be neutered at the age of 6 months.  The neuter is the responsibility of the adopter.

** Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Townhomes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old.**

***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Lovepaws***

***We do not place puppies in homes with children under the age of 5 years***

The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered as well as a $100 spay/neuter deposit at the time of adoption. This fee $100 fee will be returned to the adopter once proof of the spay/neuter has been provided to Lovepaws.

***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***

Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.***
