Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I’m Bruce!
I’m a nice friendly boy, who is a bit shy of humans. I’m looking for a home without children (they scare me!) and also without other cats (I’m not very nice to other cats unfortunately). I’ve hung out with small dogs before and didn’t mind that, though I don’t think I’d like to live with a big dog.
I like playing with laser pointers (why can’t I catch that darn thing!) and am a fan of the stick and feather toy. Oh and I loove my little hidey unicorn bed.
As a shy kitty, I have a bit of anxiety. The vet says I sometimes experience “behavioural over-grooming” due to my anxiety. That’s a fancy way of saying that when I’m stressed out I clean my fur so much it’s not healthy. My foster mom gives me a pill once a day (Chlomicalm), and that plus a hypoallergenic food seems to really help. I don’t like the pills though and am far too clever to fall for the whole pill pocket thing. My foster mom says I should tell you she uses a “pill gun” to give me my pill each day and that works well.
I came into TCR's care a bit scruffy and skinny, but the longer I’m in foster care and on my medicine the better I look. I think I’m looking pretty good these days if I do say so myself! I guess I’ll have to stick with the annoying pills and low-stress lifestyle. If you think I might be a good to be your new best friend please reach out to Toronto Cat Rescue. I can’t wait to meet you!
Note from Bruce’s caretakers: Brucie has really come out of his shell and has grown to love the volunteers as much as they love him! He is very chatty and will boop the volunteers for pets. He loves treats, but can only have hypoallergenic treats which he doesn’t love as much. He is not a fan of being picked up but will come sit with or near the volunteers so they can shower him with affection and pets. He is such a sweet boy!
