My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Baby Girl is a  little chihuahua at just 6 lbs! She is 3 years old and the cutest little girl in the world.  Baby girl loves people. She is friendly to everyone she meets and makes everyone feel so special - like they are her new best friend.  Her sweet little personality wins people over and anyone who meets her wants to take her home.

Baby Girl came to us from Texas and was found to be heartworm positive!  She has since been treated and will need heartworm preventative for her lifetime.  This is a monthly pill and is fairly inexpensive.  She is otherwise a healthy dog.

Baby girl is fostered with other dogs and while she is friendly most of the time she still does have that little chihuahua attitude - mainly with females smaller then her.    She would do best with a  dog bigger then her or male dogs who doesn’t care about Baby Girl wanting taking the lead.

She has been around a 9 year old child and loved her to pieces but due to her small size we will not be placing her with young children or large breed dogs.  She is fostered with a cat and basically ignores her.

Baby Girl is working on her leash training.  Her foster mom has practiced with in stores and she is receptive to the leash, mainly following her foster mom.  She will need more work in her forever home but the concept is there!  We will require a fenced in yard with no gaps or holes or an xpen set up in the yard for her to go to the bathroom in.  No invisible fences and the x- pen must be purchased and set up prior to adoption.  No exceptions.

Baby Girl is crate trained but not totally house trained. She will go to the the bathroom outside in nice weather and use pee pads inside but she will also pee on the throw rugs in her foster home at times as well.  Please be patient and be willing to continue to work with her on this.  Some chihuahuas are never completely house trained.  If there are carpets in your home please take this into consideration before applying!

Baby Girl loves a comfy lap to Lay in.  She loves people.  She is a pretty easy going dog and just wants to be warm and loved.  She is cute as a button and if you love chihuahuas she is the epitome of the breed!  She is extremely loyal and loving and would make a wonderful friend.  She wants to sleep in bed at night and is so snuggly.  She will burrow right under those covers and keep you warm all night.  If you think Baby girl is a fit for you please apply!  She won’t be in rescue long.

Baby Girl is spayed, up to date with vaccines, flea/worm treated, microchipped and treated for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $400
