All American Dachshund Rescue were contacted by another rescue that had pulled Bubba from a hoarding situation and he was going to be euthanized. They just couldn’t let that happen so they pulled him, along with another dachshund mix, and contacted AADR to see if we would take them. Of course no second thoughts on that!
Bubba is very scared and mistrusting of humans and needs time to learn to trust people. He truly was not handled as a puppy. He has been with AARD now about two weeks and he’s finding out that they mean him no harm, but he’s still going to need further work and patience. Do you have what it takes? AARD has DNA tested him and should get the results back in about 10 days. We think Chiweenie but the test will tell the story.
In the meantime, this sweet boy needs:
A fenced yard is a must
Another young, small well-socialized dog for him to learn from and play with
Someone who has the patience to take this diamond in the rough and make him a beautiful loving and loved family member
