My name is Rueben and I am a Schnauzer/Terrier mix who is 8 years old and weighs 28 lbs. Sadly, thru no fault of my own, this is my second time looking for a forever home with Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati.
Last year my family decided they just didn't want a dog anymore and took me to the shelter. Fortunately, an angel with Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati pulled me and I was placed in a loving foster home. After getting my shots updated, my teeth cleaned, microchip placed and some medical issues addressed, I thought I found my forever home.
I was adopted in the middle of Covid with a family who had two children and a Snoodle. All was great for a few months – we had no visitors... as far as I knew it was just us in the world. As vaccines came about, we started having visitors in the house and I reacted by being overprotective with the children, especially the older boy. I had a couple small snaps that did not break the skin; but the parents thought it best to take me back to rescue. I came back to my original foster home.
I am an active, fun boy who loves to use the doggie door to head outside and play or just lay in the sun. My foster mom would like for me to have a physical fenced yard as I do here. I walk great on the leash and love car trips. I know steps and come when my name is called. It is best we feel for no children to be in the home. I get along great with other dogs... there are six here and we all have to learn to sit and share. If you think I might be the next best friend for you, please complete an application for me.
