Hi, this is Beaver who is approximately 2 year old Blue Heeler male who weighs just under 40lbs. He is your quintessential Cattle Dog who is very smart, loyal and athletic!

Beaver is very affectionate towards his people and can be good with others when introduced properly, he is otherwise timid or indifferent towards strangers. He CAN be good with most dogs but can resource guard his humans from other dogs in certain situations. He would make the exceptional companion or even sport dog if someone put the time in!

He does need some help with structure and handler focus (recall). He is also mouthy at times which is why it is crucial he goes to a Heeler or herding dog savvy home.

As Beaver is an amazing dog, he is only available to Cattle Dog savvy households who can provide him with structure, training, exercise and inclusion. A fenced yard is a must and he is not suited for apartments (no exceptions, sorry!) He can be good with older kids but we think he will live a great life with a savvy active adult only household.
