Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BEAN (like his pal FRANK) is an adorable, shy, and young dog. A chihuahua minpin looking boy, he came to the local shelter with Frank as extremely fearful stray puppies. They were so fearful at the shelter that shelter staff couldn't take them out on leash. They lived inside a shelter kennel too scared to move. They have been decompressing and learning to trust while in foster care.
FRANK & BEAN currently live with multiple dogs and prefer the company of small dogs like themselves. They are still frightened by loud noises and sudden movements so a non-apartment home without small children would be best for these shy dogs. They also need a home with some fenced or enclosed yard space for them to enjoy as they are fearful on walks in public.
Frank is the more curious and social of the two. Frank has become a cuddler and seeks out interaction and pets from his fosters. Bean is further behind in his confidence building and is still fearful of the human touch, esp by strangers. Bean is not a cuddly or lap dog. He enjoys being in the company of people (as long as they aren’t trying to pick him up or force physical interaction). Bean will happily follow the resident dog in the house and adapt to that dog’s routine.
We are accepting applications for Frank & Bean together. We will also consider applications for each individually if the home is a good fit. Both dogs would require a small dog companion in the home.
