Lyle was a little banged up physically when he arrived and needed time to rest before we could meet him. We aren’t sure what happened to scrape him up but he had some older healed injuries also that look a lot older like his poor back paw. When we approached his kennel, he just looked like a normal dog. He was easy to leash and didn’t hesitate to come out. It wasn’t till we got outside that we saw he was on the older side and his back paw was only half there. Something got him bad that’s for sure. Lyle doesn’t seem to be bothered by any of it. He went about his business with lots of head to the ground sniffing. We didn’t get a good look at his cute face till we went into a lot.
Lyle immediately found the coolest toy and initiated some self entertainment. He gladly came over to show off his prize and soak up some attention. Lyle allows handling all over, he didn’t mind us checking out his half paw, and butt scratches made him dance like no one was watching. He knows basic commands and takes treats gently. Lyle is all around nice guy material.
