Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"I wanna be, where the people are." The Little Mermaid may have said it first, but we're pretty sure Daffney wrote those lyrics. All she wants is to be a part of your world! She loves to sit by her humans on the couch, be in the same room as them, and even watch them when they're outside through the screen door with her beautiful big green eyes . Sweet Daffney also loves to be picked up and pet, and she is very happy to meet new human friends. She'll greet you with a cute little meow, and rub against your legs to make sure you're here to stay. Daffney isn't all sweetness and cuddles though- she is also a terrifying huntress! She will stalk her toys and then carry them in her mouth, showing off her amazing skills! She also hunts something unusual- her own tail! She loves to chase it in circles until she catches it. However, all of that hunting is exhausting! Luckily, Daffney is also a pro napper. She likes to sleep during the day while you're busy working, so that she can save up her energy for later. Daffney doesn't have any foster siblings, but she does get along with other cats so would do well in a home with a sibling, or as a solo kitty. This pretty girl was born 11/10/19.
If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Daffney, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com and Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com. Please tell us a bit about your situation, what you are looking for, the composition of your current household (the other humans and/or pets who already live there). Inquires with these questions answered are responded to promptly.
We are always in need of foster homes. If you are not able to adopt, but are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com or Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com to learn more. Photos by Katherine Mcilwain.
