Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are helping Skeeter's family find him a new home. He is a cute little boy but does have some behavioral issues that will require just the right person/family to work with him.
Skeeter is a 4 year old Shih Tzu mix. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his shots and heart worm preventative, and has no known allergies.
Although he is very cute and sweet he will need someone with experience with dogs and will need set rules and boundaries. A stipulation to adopting him will be that he completes a training course with his new owner. Skeeter resource guards people, food and toys and has resulted in the owner's son getting bitten, and so they believe he would be happiest in a home where he is the only dog, and with no children.
Skeeter needs a yard with grass and a fence to use the bathroom, but enjoys walks on a harness and leash. He knows commands like, "sit", "come" "down" "off" and "go home" to go in his crate. He enjoys the company of his people and receiving praise for a job well done.
You can find an application for Skeeter on our website www.homesfurhounds.com. If you do have other dogs or children please don't submit an application as they don't feel comfortable sending him into that situation again. He is located in Williamsburg, Va.
