In Wheaton
Meet Riley. This gorgeous gal is a 7 year old black tri female Australian Shepherd. She is the whole package. . . dog friendly, family friendly, and just loves everyone she meets. She is a social butterfly and LOVES attention.
She is 7 years old and a little overweight. Since coming to ASF she has been on a diet and exercise regimen to get her back to her healthy self. Her foster mom has been working hard with daily walks and play. She is great on a leash and loves her walks almost as much as she loves to play fetch.
Riley lives with a four legged female fur sibling, a 7-pound dachshund. They get along great, but as Riley gets more energy she wants to run, chase, and play, her older foster sis isn’t really into that. Riley would definitely benefit from a home that will continue to keep her active, and commit to her getting healthy with diet and exercise, or another dog in the house might help with that so they can play.
Riley has great house manners, and so far, pretty low energy, but we expect this to change, as she continues to lose weight. All the AUSSOME stuff about her: She knows lots of great commands: sit, down, come, place, wait, we are told she loves water, she is great in the car and kids with treats are her kryptonite.
Riley is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and on monthly prevention for heartworm, fleas and ticks. Riley is being fostered in Wheaton IL.
