My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Daisey is a cute little mixed dog!  We believe she is a schnauzer/westie and maybe Australian terrier mix but who knows!   She is about 6 years old and weighs 17 pounds.  Daisey's story is a bit sad.  She came to us from Texas, where she needed TPLO surgery (torn ACL).  Her owners decided to have her euthanized instead of the surgery.  The veterinarian decided this was not an option for Daisey!  He preformed the surgery and quickly contacted our rescue friends for help.  Now Daisey is ready to start her new life in New York!

Daisey is a great little girl  - she is practically a plug in dog!  She is leash trained and gets very excited when she sees her leash, always ready for a walk!  She is also crate trained but her foster mom doesn't use it much with her.  She likes to snooze in her little bed in her foster mom's office while she works.  She appears to be housetrained but please expect some adjustment time as she gets used to a new routine.  Daisey has a fully fenced yard in her foster home and she enjoys sunbathing and sleeping while all the yardwork is being done!  Oh she is a hoot with the hose!  Please turn it on full blast and watch her go after it!  At least it cools her down on the hot days.  She is good with other dogs but does not require one in her new home.  She is not good with cats though!  Daisey has been recently groomed and will need regular grooming throughout her life so please take that into consideration.

Daisey is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $450 to help with her medical bills.
