My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Dakota to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 4-year-old Great Dane/Shepherd dog. She was in a family with a man and woman plus kids. They got a divorce and Dakota found that she had no place to live. They asked CCPAL for help. She is trained in the vest. The vest says service dog. We don’t know how much training she has had but she has some skills and she is very smart and attentive. She is very comfortable walking on lead. She is the typical Great Dane and a little shy of new people and barks. She is very loyal to her people and is warming up nicely to us here at the rescue. She is potty trained, knows the sit command and is well mannered. She has also lived with a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is now looking for her forever home. She is currently in Texas at the Rescue. She can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. She is healthy and ready for her forever home. Her adoption fee is 250 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states
